About WhatIsGoing

WhatIsGoing is a project that helps people understand what’s happening in the world by analyzing how entities (people, places, organizations, keywords) appear and connect in daily news coverage.

Our goal is to make media coverage more transparent by surfacing patterns, trends, and relationships that aren’t obvious at first glance. We track frequency, emotional tone, and connections between topics – so readers can explore news beyond headlines.

This is a personal side project built with ❤️ by Ahmed Magdy . The backend is built in Ruby on Rails, the frontend in TypeScript + Next.js, and it’s running fully on K3s.
